Human trafficking is a hidden global crime that reaches across borders, industries, communities—and increasingly, the digital world. In the Human Rights Open Team Meeting on September 8, we’ll explore the essential what, why, how, where and who of human trafficking: how exploitation has evolved, why enormous profits continue to drive it, who is vulnerable, who enables it, and how technology can both fuel and fight the crime. Most importantly, we’ll move beyond the shocking statistics to consider what each of us can do to recognize the signs, make more informed choices, support survivor empowerment, and stand up against human trafficking.
