The FAWCO Foundation was established in 1967 to assist FAWCO in its charitable and educational projects. The FAWCO Foundation has donated more than $1 million in education awards and development grants. Development Grants are available to FAWCO member clubs. Education Awards are available for members, their children and grandchildren.
FAWCO clubs take action
FAWCO is an UN-accredited NGO with Special Consultative Status to the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). It is a member of the Committee of NGOs and the Committee on the Status of Women in Geneva, New York and Vienna, and is represented on the Committee for Human Rights in Geneva and the Committee for Families in New York. In 2012, FAWCO joined the UN agency for gender equality and the empowerment of women (UN Women).

For American members, FAWCO defends the rights of American women overseas concerning citizenship, voting, taxes and banking.
For all members, FAWCO is active in the UN, taking stands on issues such as women’s rights, education, environment and health.
