Elections in Virginia and Louisiana will determine, among other things, who will run the 2024 federal elections in those states. If you’re from either state, be sure to take part. Act now; deadlines for registration and ballot requests are close!
Virginia
Virginians will vote for candidates in the General Assembly and local offices; election day is Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
- Voter registration/ballot request for new voters* must be received by Monday, October 16, 2023, 5:00 pm EDT.
- Ballot request for registered voters must be received by Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

Louisiana
Louisiana citizens will elect candidates for many state offices, including Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, state senator, state representative and judges. Election day is Tuesday, November 18, 2023
- Voter registration/ballot request for new voters* must be postmarked or received by Wednesday, October 18, 2023; online registration/requests must be submitted by Saturday, October 28, 2023.
- Ballot request for registered voters must be received by Fri, November 17, 2023 4:30 pm CT
