In April 2020, members of the NGO Committee on the Status of Women Vienna, including FAWCO UN Liaison and NGO CSW Vienna Chair Laurie Richardson, decided to draft a statement on the COID-19 response. We collaborated with members of other NGO Committees in Vienna on the statement, which was circulated to the Vienna UN NGO community and forwarded to the Conference of NGOs in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations (CoNGO). The statement COVID-19 Recovery: Building Back Better has been signed by over 130 CoNGO member organizations, and delivered to the UN in NY.
