Form 8938
For form 8938 see FAWCO’s 8938 Guidelines PDF (250KB) for a simple description and chart showing thresholds of foreign financial assets. This form is filed with your tax return and sent to the IRS.
Some good news! For Form 8938 there are higher filing threshold limits for those living outside the U.S. (between $200,000 and $600,000 depending on filing status vs. $50,000)
This form 8938 is also for U.S. Executives with non-U.S. compensation.

Use this form to report your specified foreign financial assets if the total value of all the specified foreign financial assets in which you have an interest is more than the reporting threshold.
FBAR/FIN Cen Form 114
Beginning 2014, FBARs have a new name! Now called FINCen 114 it must be efiled beginning this year.
