At the AWSurrey October meeting we had the membership vote for the FAWCO Target Water Project. We had the printed summaries of the 3 finalist projects laminated and standing on easels. In front of each easel was a water bottle. We had a bowl filled with pennies and as each member came into the meeting, they were given a penny. They cast their vote by dropping a penny in the water bottle designated for one of the 3 finalists. We also publicized it in our e-newsletter so that members were able to vote online as well. At the end of the meeting we counted up all the pennies and declared the winnerThe attached photo is of 2 Surrey members casting their votes.
