On Saturday, June 5, American Women's Group of Languedoc Roussillon held an accessories auction and sale fundraiser.   What a successful and fun day!

We had received many generous donations of hats, scarves, belts, bags, and jewelry.  Most of the items were on sale throughout the afternoon; others were auctioned off in the silent auction.  The most elegant donations were under the gavel of our auctioneer starting at 5:30 pm.  A plethora of homemade goodies were there to nibble on in the back of the room  and the bar nearby sold soft drinks and champagne by the glass.

Our U.S. Consul Philip Richards from Marseille was on hand to conduct consular business for those who wished while his wife browsed the many tables of accessories looking for that perfect find.

The live auction was filled with laughter as Auctioneer Phil (husband of of a member) modeled many of the accessories.  To console the bidders who were not fortunate enough to win a bid, drink tickets were the consolation prize.

It was a fantastic, fun and cheerful event thanks to all of the dedicated women who collected, sorted, set up and sold.
