If you are an American living overseas you may have many questions about your rights and responsibilities. FAWCO is the oldest and largest non-partisan organization representing private sector Americans abroad. FAWCO works to keep the public up to date on issues important to Americans living and working overseas, including citizenship, voting, taxation, and banking concerns.

amovr logo2FAWCO is an original member of the Alliance for Military and Overseas Voting Rights (AMOVR) which is conducting two surveys to learn more about the experience of military and overseas civilian voters.

Data will be collected and analyzed by AMOVR and will be absolutely confidential.  The survey will take about 5 minutes to complete and asks general questions about your experience as an overseas voter.

We encourage all FAWCO U.S. citizen members, their families and friends as well as all U.S. citizen visitors to our website to participate in these surveys.  You can help AMOVR work more effectively with Congress, the states and other stakeholders to improve voting procedures for a population whose votes are too often not counted.  Legislation recently passed (see article on the MOVE Act here) makes significant advances but (as always) more can still be done.

Thank you for participating in and helping to promote these surveys.  Click here if you are a military voter and here if you are an overseas civilian. See the full press release about the two surveys here.

For any questions on AMOVR or the voting surveys, please contact the FAWCO US Liaison.
