North American Connection – Midlands, England

Once Birmingham Children’s Hospital was chosen as our charity for the year, it seemed a perfect fit to incorporate the Halloween Boo Bash into our fundraising. The Halloween Party was held on October 31st at the Dorothea Mitchell Hall in Claverdon. Forty children, 7 months to 10 years old, dressed up in their favorite costumes. Many parents joined in and wore costumes too. It was a fantastic party complete with activity stations and several games. The kids enjoyed everything from trying to eat donuts on a string to mummy wrapping. Krispy Kreme donuts were pre-sold to assist in the fundraising as well. Overall, we proudly raised £191.75! On December 8th the charity committee is touring Birmingham Children’s Hospital and donating Christmas gifts purchased with a portion of this money. We are holding a Mardi Gras Ball in March to raise a more substantial amount for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
